SERVICES THAT AROHA PROVIDE
Residential care, Home or Hospital: Aroha provides a 47 bed Stage Two Rest home and a 23 bed Continuing Care Hospital with 24 hour Registered Nurse coverage.
The Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) agency, Sigma, assess a client’s eligibility for care. Referral to the NASC agency is via a General Practitioner.
Respite or short-term stay care is provided in the Rest Home, to offer carer relief, on a casual basis. The length of stay varies, depending on client needs. For further information, please contact Janyce Cowan, (Liaison Officer).
Day Centre: Day Centre supports the elderly living in the community by offering activities and social interaction. Attendance at Day Centre may be funded through Sigma, or privately. You can discuss this with the Day Centre staff 8.00am—3.00pm.
Villas: There are nine units for independent living. These are purchased as a license to occupy. There is one rental bed sit available.
